Tuesday December 16th 2014, the Thief River Falls Rotary club hosted District 5580 Governor Tim Kaminski. Tim spoke to the club and updated our club of the current events of Rotary International, Regional and district levels.
Saturday November 1st. The Thief River Falls Rotary Club gathered to construct four picnic tables for the Pathfinders Children’s Treatment Center. John Shirkey, Director of the Pathfinders Children’s Treatment Center, hosted the event with prepared materials. Four TRF Rotarians; Nicole Edberg, Richard Laager, Mike Nelson and Paul Ihle assembled four picnic tables for the residents and their families.
Rotarians Michele halvorson, pictured on the right, and Nicole Edberg, not photoed, presented the St. Bernard’s third grade class with dictionaries rounding out this years Rotary dictionary campaign.

The Thief River Falls Rotary club once again donated and presented dictionaries to all of the third graders at Challenger Elementary. This is one of the clubs annual events that is well received by the school and portrays Rotary’s commitment to supporting education. Rotarians Kermit Genereux, Richard Laager, Joe Hedrick and Nicole Edberg, shown presenting students with their personal dictionaries and how to use them as a tool to enrich their education. The students and teachers look forward to this event each year.
2014 Annual Rotary vs Lions Club Golf Tournament
This years annual golf tournament versus the Lions club resulted in the Rotary Club passing the trophy back to the Lions club after a string of victories. In respect to the annual tradition, Rotary club president, Joe Hedrick, kisses the trophy as it is handed off to the Lions club president.
